Preity Zinta may not be in news for her movies since a while now, but the actress is surely pulling eye balls through her regular fascinating twitter updates.

The latest update from actress was about her having dinner with tennis star Serena Willaims. Preity also posted her picture with Serena on twitter. “At Dinner with Serena Williams ! She is absolutely wonderful and full of life. Love her style ” tweeted Preity.

IPL Award 2010 is celebrating tonight. IPL Award 2010 or IPL Party 2010 has been started from 7:30 p.m.

Not only that, the actress is also likely to be declared the heiress to Shandar Amrohi, who is one of the co-owners of Kamalistan Studios (worth Rs 600 crores) that originally belonged to Meena Kumari and Kamal Amrohi. It is said to be a prime property, being eyed by several builders.

Shandar considers Preity to be his adopted daughter and wants to will his property to her. However, the legal dispute over Kamal Amrohi’s property remains unresolved and is leading towards an out-of-court settlement. Now, the buzz is that Preity might restore the Kamalistan Studios.

There is a strong rumour that suggests that at some point Preity will sell some part of her IPL stake and redevelop the Kamalistan property alongwith a high-profile builder from Pune.

Bollywood actress Preity Zinta had the most “adventurous day” Thursday, as she went to Haridwar to take a dip as part of the ongoing Maha Kumbh Mela, and “washed off” all her sins in the Ganga.

“Had the most adventurous day today! Went to the Maha Kumbh Mela in Haridwar and I washed off all my sins in the holy Ganga,” Preity posted on her Twitter page.

The actress made a sudden plan with her mother for the trip to the Maha Kumbh, which is being held in Haridwar since Jan 14 and will conclude April 28.

“Tagged along with mother india to Haridwar hoping to find my twin…He he,” Preity quipped.

“Slept for two hours and flew for six. The chopper ride was fun though,” she added.

Preity Zinta has been off the movies bandwagon these days.

Many are wondering if the once renowned actress has retired from her trade. IPL seems to be number 1 on the actress’s priority list. Why wouldn’t it be with it being such a money spinner?

But, Preity has assured her fans that she will indeed be back to charm all of us, “Guys, I did not retire from movies, just took a break. I promise you will only see me on the silver screen post the IPL and in 2011.”

In the meantime she must be shedding her silent tears over her team King XI Punjab which is on a losing spree at the IPL.

New Delhi: Adding further fire to the reported rift between Yuvraj and Sangakkara, Shabnam Singh mother of Yuvraj Singh has lashed out against media for singularly picking her son for Kings XI Punjab’s poor performances.

“I am shocked at the way things have turned out in media and I would clearly state that the news is false and baseless.”

“Yuvraj never tried to change base to Mumbai Indians as he was locked with Kings XI for a period of three years. So how does that question arise?”

“Speaking for performance alone, it is the whole team which is going through a bad phase not just Yuvraj,” she further added.

Coming to Yuvraj Singh’s rescue was also Kings XI Punjab owner Preity Zinta. “ All the reports of Yuvraj –Sangakkara rift is pure media speculation and I have no further comments on the issue.”

Earlier, an angry and ‘disguted’ Yuvraj Singh hit back Friday at media reports about him wanting to leave his team, Kings XI Punjab and said that ‘no player underperforms at will.’

Terming the report published in a news daily as false, Yuvi said, “I am disgusted and horrified. I have never seen such a disgusting piece of news in my life.”

As per the report, the swashbuckling all-rounder had been at loggerheads with the team’s co-owner Ness Wadia since the time it was announced that the Sri Lankan captain Kumar Sangakkara would replace him as the KXIP skipper. It was also said that he tried at length to move to Mumbai Indians after the incident, but the team’s ‘financial clout may have led to a few bruised egos’.

The news daily also said that Wadia went to the BCCI stating concerns about Yuvi discontent and that the Chandigarh lad may under-perform during the tournament to show his displeasure.

A livid Yuvraj reacted by saying that all these reports were fallacious and that ‘the media has no right to fabricate such stories’.

Yuvraj said that his poor performance during the on-going IPL 3, where he scored just 101 runs from seven games at an average of 14.42, has nothing to do with any rift within the team and that no player would perform badly at will.

“No player underperforms at will. I have been through injuries and it is not easy to get out of it,” he added.

Earlier, reports of rift in the team were also denied by Sangakkara, who said, “Of course there is a lot of disappointment when the team is not winning and the key players are not putting up their best performance. But there is no anger, never any direct criticism of any particular player or any personnel.”

Dismissing reports that he and Yuvraj were not on best of terms and that it was affecting the team morale, the Sri Lankan said, “You saw the warm up game we had. All the local, domestic, Indian and international players got on so well together. I believe that’s the way cricket is. When you lose everyone opens themselves up to criticism, some fair and some unfair.”

He said, “We are open to selling stake if we feel that there are investors who can bring in not only financial but also strategic value to the business. I would say a good value to be somewhere around $250-300 million and it (stake sale) also depends on who the investor would be.”

According to the reports, Videocon has showed interest in buying the stakes.
It seems Ness just can’t tolerate even a sight of Preity after their breakup. It has been learnt that during the IPL matches of their team if Preity stood in dug out, Ness was seen far in VVIP box.

They have been trying to avoid each other every time. And now finally, Ness has decided to sell his stakes.
