The last time that actress Preity Zinta and director Samir Karnik came together was for HEROES, where Preity essayed the role of a brave young Punjabi army widow. What followed was an all round critical acclaim, as well as an average box-office success. And it seems that the young director has found appreciation for his work as Preity has once again hired his services (no, do not jump the gun, she is not venturing into film production!), to bring out a 24-episodic film on her team, Kings XI Punjab.

The one of a kind series will track the players through four cameras in their dressing room and suites. Naturally, being the owner, Preity Zinta will be the star attraction of the series, and already a surprise revelation was made by Samir, and it was that Preity goes to the temple everyday and distributes ‘prasad’ to all the players. So, a lot of interesting behind the scenes inside stories will be packed into the 24 episodes.

The team which has its share of cricketing stars like the swashbuckling sixer king, Yuvraaj Singh, the heartthrob of all girls, pace spearhead Brett Lee, and amazingly talented cricketers like Irfan Pathan, the Sri Lankan captain Mahela Jayawardene and Kumar Sangakara amongst others.

Definitely, seeing the amazing popularity of its players, this series should prove to be a bigger success than the team’s IPL achievement this year!

The word is finally out from Preity Zinta’s mouth, she is no longer dating Ness Wadia and is very much single now.

Preity says, “I’m not dating anyone right now. If I did, I wouldn’t hide it. But whatever the status of my heart, I’m certainly not the kind of person who would send out emails to people about my love life.”

She refers to story about her sending mails to her team that she is no longer dating the teams co-owner Ness Wadia.

She adds, “Why would I do something so stupid.Do I owe my team members an explanation on my love life? I don’t even know their email addresses. For me, the line between my personal life and my work place is very sharply divided.”

However ask her if she is dating her team member Brett Lee, she says,”I will never date a married man or an actor.That rule for my heart is still applicable.To that I’ve added one more group of people who are taboo territory to my heart. Cricketers. Going by my mantra of never mixing my personal life with my professional interests, I’ll never date a cricketer either. One doesn’t go out with people whom one works with, it’s as simple as that.”
